Operations Coordinator

Athena DeLay has provided project coordination and administrative support to top-tier executives and organizations for over a decade.

Athena joined Canyon Ranch Institute, a 501(c)3 non-profit public charity, as executive administrative assistant in August 2008. Canyon Ranch Institute catalyzes the possibility of optimal health for all people by translating the best practices of Canyon Ranch and our partners to help educate, inspire, and empower every person to prevent disease and choose a life of wellness.

In her role as operations coordinator, Athena supports all Canyon Ranch Institute initiatives with a special focus on governance and advisory boards, as well as creating and coordinating internal operations processes, including financial tracking and accountability. She is also involved with the Arizona Health Literacy Collaboration Planning Committee, which is working to bring awareness, appreciation, and knowledge to Arizona-based healthcare facilities. Athena also assists with Canyon Ranch Institute meetings and events, including planning logistics and scheduling travel.

Prior to this position, Athena was executive administrative assistant to the vice chairman of Canyon Ranch and has also provided administrative support to several executive directors at Canyon Ranch.

Athena attended Brooks College of Fashion Design in Long Beach, CA, and she earned an associate's degree from Chaparral College in Tucson, AZ, where she trained as a paralegal.

Athena's free time is spent traveling and enjoying the great outdoors with family and friends along with cooking with her daughter, reading, decorating, family walks with her yellow lab, and practicing Pilates. She is also Canyon Ranch Institute's unofficial cultural 'fashionista.'
