1. What is Canyon Ranch Institute and how is it related to Canyon Ranch?

Canyon Ranch Institute (CRI) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to helping people from all walks of life access the information and other resources they need to prevent disease and embrace a life of wellness. CRI was founded in 2002 by Canyon Ranch founders Mel and Enid Zuckerman and Jerry Cohen to translate the unique health and wellness philosophy and expertise of Canyon Ranch to communities beyond Canyon Ranch.

CRI seeks to create leading-edge, mutually beneficial partnerships with organizations that have a fundamental commitment to, and focus on, creating opportunities for wellness in communities worldwide, including those communities that have been traditionally underserved.

Please visit our About Us section for more information.

2. What are the objectives of Canyon Ranch Institute?

Canyon Ranch Institute (CRI) will work with its partners to help:

  • Accelerate a cultural transformation to redefine individual and community health in terms of disease prevention rather than disease treatment;
  • Integrate and translate innovative and evidence-based wellness best practices into the fundamental knowledge and social base of every community; and
  • Eliminate health disparities by ensuring that all people have the ability and opportunity to choose a life of wellness.

3. How does Canyon Ranch Institute identify partners?

Canyon Ranch Institute (CRI) partnerships consist of partner organizations and programs with whom CRI can begin to create change in a manner consistent with our principles, that have best practice models and programs that will assist CRI in achieving our objectives, that conduct their work via strategies aligned with those of CRI, and that embrace the notion of conducting their efforts with CRI and other partners as equal collaborators, drawing on the respective strengths of all to realize a whole that is greater than the sum of its parts.

When opportunities for partnership are available, CRI will issue a Request for Proposals (RFP), which will be posted to the CRI website.

Sign up to receive notification when a new RFP is posted.
