Jennifer Cabe, M.A., CRI executive director and board member, joined a panel of health and wellness professionals to speak about the Societal Integration of Wellness at the Lifestyles of Health and Sustainability (LOHAS) Forum. The Forum brings together leaders to focus on how business, media, and entertainment can be leveraged to educate and influence consumer behavior to promote lifestyles of health and sustainability. The panel was moderated by Fred Haberman, president and co-founder of Haberman and Associates. In addition to Jennifer, the panelists were Deneen Vojta, M.D., senior vice president of the Center for Health Reform and Modernization at United Healthcare, and Chris Waugh, leader of consumer experience design at IDEO.
Jennifer spoke about CRI’s principles and partnerships and shared outcomes from the Canyon Ranch Institute Life Enhancement Program (CRI LEP). The CRI LEP uses an integrative approach to health and transfers the best practices of Canyon Ranch to low-income communities to prevent, diagnose, and address chronic diseases. The session prompted numerous questions from attendees about how to incorporate wellness into all human experiences.
